HomeLink Farm 1.5.0

The farming module of the HomeLink ecosystem: monitor, diagnose, irrigate, optimize and connect a farm. No resource is ever created; only the FarmBot harvests and replants, actually walking to the crops.

Blocks and items#

ItemRole
Farm ControllerThe farm's brain: linked components, aggregated statistics, a HomeCore device.
Crop MonitorMonitors an area: ready/growing crops, maturity, irrigation, problems.
Farm ConnectorA configuration tool (not consumed) for linking blocks together.
Irrigation PumpHydraulic core: requires a real adjacent or submerged water source.
Copper Irrigation PipeAutomatically connected pipe, oxidizes cosmetically over ~100 in-game days; all four stages can be waxed with honeycomb to lock their look, like vanilla copper.
Copper SprinklerIrrigates the area around it, gives off light like a torch.
FarmBot StationDock, charger, start/return point for a FarmBot.
FarmBotAutonomous farming robot: harvests and replants mature crops.

Recipes#

All at the vanilla crafting table. Icons: 3D render of the blocks, as in the inventory; items (ingots, components…) keep their real texture.

Monitoring and diagnostics#

Maturity normalized 0→100%. Problems are reported only when Minecraft provides a reliable signal: DRY_FARMLAND, LOW_LIGHT, NOT_IRRIGATED, IRRIGATION_OFFLINE. The LOCATE function sends a temporary marker to the relevant player, without changing any block.

Irrigation#

Deterministic rule: one pump feeds at most 5 sprinklers. Beyond that, the whole network goes OVER_CAPACITY and stops entirely. Each sprinkler covers a 5×5 square and grants a +20% growth bonus to the compatible crops it covers.

FarmBot#

The robot never scans the farm itself: the Crop Monitor supplies it with the mature positions (512 at most). It walks there by pathfinding, harvests, replants with part of the harvest, then returns to its station at 20% battery or when its 9 slots are full.

Visible states: DOCKED, IDLE, SEARCHING, MOVING, HARVESTING, RETURNING, UNLOADING, CHARGING, PAUSED, STORAGE FULL, OUTPUT BLOCKED, LOW BATTERY, OUT OF POWER, STUCK, ERROR.

Irrigation view (key I)#

Visual cues above crops: turquoise (irrigated area), coral (network down), gray (unpowered sprinkler), golden crosses (unirrigated crops).

Depends on neither Dashboard, Storage nor the holographic map: those mods read the generic data through HomeCore. The mod is fully available in French and English.

Install#

Install homelink_farm-1.5.0.jar, homelink_energy-0.5.0.jar and homecore-1.14.0.jar into mods, client and server.
